About David

Born on 22 January 1980 in Ghent.

David De Henau comes from an artistic family. By the age of six he was already making music and drawing. The violin is his favourite instrument; he also plays piano and guitar.

Later he found his way into painting. He makes abstract work in large and small formats, and above all wants to be free in it. His circular works share the same lines of force: circles in and through each other, like force fields that attract and repel.

His work without circles stands out for its strong colour and thick layers of paint. You can lose yourself in it, as in a wild forest or a jungle of colour. A warm, abstract body of work by an artist who refuses to be pinned to any movement.
